I don't really know how to tell stories but I can't resist trying to relate this one. So, on the urging of my dear friend, here I go!
The other day I did my usual visit to the cemetery and discovered what time has done in many ways! A few years ago, friends and family placed some small "inspirational" stones on our family marker to honor the memory of our son. One stone read "dream", another "love" and another "imagine" and a small heart shaped stone read "JOY". When you lose someone very close to you, you feel as though your dreams, like balloons when they are "popped", are full of holes, the air gone out of them and so you packed them up and put them away....for awhile.
Well, when I looked at the "dream" stone, the middle of the "d" was nothing but a big hole, and I just started laughing at how ironic the whole thing was. Then when I looked closer I noticed that the "imagine" stone was chipped and the word practically gone and the heart-shaped joy stone broken, just like ones heart. The only stone left whole and intact is the "love" stone. Isn't that just like life, LOVE remains intact when everything else is falling apart!! I am still laughing over this...funny how time has changed so many things!!
